Fantasy Friday #6 Autumn Essentials

Friday, 27 September 2013

1. Bag - H&M
2. Fox Knit Top - New Look
3. Ankle Boots - New Look
4. Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Palette - Selfridges
5. Fox Beanie - Dorothy Perkins
6. Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Lipstick - Selfridges

It's been quite a while since I made a wishlist and with Autumn just on our doorstep, I thought I'd have a quick browse for some non-essential purchases.

I am in need of a new bag and this satchel style one from H&M is budget friendly and just what I'm looking for. The fox knit top is so adorable, I'm struggling to not buy it right now. I always struggle to find shoes/boots, I see loads that I like but my feet just don't agree and I was on a boot mission for about 2 months last year, hopefully I'll have better luck this year. This Bobbi Brown palette is gorgeous and full of warm shades which will look lovely in the colder months for when my skin is even more pale than usual! Running with the foxy theme, this hat super cute. I needn't say more. Finally, a Chanel lipstick in shade Orchidee - a lovely coral red shade, not too bright but still on trend for A/W.

Fantasy Friday #5 Skater Girl

Friday, 12 July 2013

1,2,3,4,5,6

This post has been a bit of a long time coming... Now that I've had Ozzy, I've also sadly discovered that maxi's just don't suit me, damn it! This means that I've fallen back on my old favourite style, the skater dress.
This style really flatters my figure, especially as I'm carrying a little extra weight and a bit of a jelly belly.
The fit and flare style of skater dresses skims neatly over my hips and belly and cinches me in around my waist making me look slimmer than I am and making me feel confident and feminine without having to wear floaty tops all the time. I can also buy them in my normal size so I'm not wasting money on clothes that won't fit me next summer.

What's your favourite style dress?

Fantasy Friday #4 - Maxi Madness

Friday, 31 May 2013

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

I've never really been into maxi dresses or long skirts, usually I favour something a little more along the lines of a skater dress or something just above the knee. This year though, I've really spotted quite a few maxi items that have caught my eye and made me want to try out the style!
Now I'm due to become a mum (he's still not arrived, 5 days late and counting, come on ooooutt!) I think my style has become a little more reserved than it has been before.
I have tried the Denim Jacket (1) on and it looks much nicer than in the picture above with cute floral detailing on the inside of the cuffs. I think denim jackets are so great for mixing and matching with loads of outfits and to keep you looking stylish even with our crappy British 'summer'!
I really love the River Island coral dress (2) for casual wear, it's one of my favourite colours and would look gorgeous with a tan.
The Warehouse Masai Print dress (3) is a little different to what I'd usually pick (because it's not pink or floral, haha!) but I think it's really pretty and bonus - it's currently reduced to £36 at House of Fraser.
The Oasis Iris Chiffon dress (4) is a little more fancy and I think would be great for something a bit more special, it's a bit more expensive than the other items, but you always have to spend a bit more for a celebration/occasion, right?
The linen top (5) and skirt (6) are pretty much a complete outfit that I saw on H&M but they just look great together along with the jacket and necklace (8) (Which sadly is sold out, but I couldn't find anything similar whilst browsing).
Finally, I couldn't resist a pair of wedges (7) to go with all the outfits above but I think they'd all look great with flats too.

Do you like the Maxi trend? What are you loving this spring/summer?

Fantasy Friday #3

Friday, 17 May 2013

It's Friday again and that means that I have been spending money in my head that I don't have! There's something so satisfying about adding things to your basket and reaching checkout even if you can't afford it, it gives me closure... or is that just me?
This weeks wishlist is pretty pricey but a girl can dream, eh? Especially when it's nearing my birthday, yay!

Bobbi Brown Blush Brush - I currently own the Real Techniques Blush Brush and whilst I think it's a lovely brush, I can't help lusting after this one. When I went to the counter to test some products, the MUA used this brush to apply bronzer and highlighter on my cheeks and it just looked amazing. I can't get the same finish myself and I'm not sure if it's me or the brush, a poor workman always blames his tools...

Fossil Charm Bracelet - I love jewellery, I can never get enough. I have tried to like rose gold but it is just not my thing, it doesn't go with my skin so I'm sticking with trusty silver. I tend to buy cheap jewellery that ends up going brassy after a couple of weeks and I'd like to invest in a few more pieces that are high quality that I still feel I can wear on a day to day basis without worrying about them breaking. This bracelet looks cute on it's own but has the middle loop where you can attach a charm.

Warehouse Floral Midi Dress - Yes, this is another floral dress. I try and pick out different patterned clothes but I just can't help myself. I've seen this in John Lewis but not on the Warehouse site and it's currently got 25% off... so tempting!

Bobbi Brown Almost Bare Collection - I've only got a couple of products by Bobbi Brown and they are pricey but they are worth it because they are such great quality and have lasted me well. This collection has all my favourite shades for everyday wear plus the perfume sounds right up my street - floral. I like how you get a mix of items plus the cute little bag.

Fossil Heather Mini Watch - My trusty cheap watch from eBay has decided that it would like to let water leak in through the face so it's got a little puddle lurking in there. Not great. So, I thought I'd look at something a little more high end and I love how this is quite delicate yet still looks sturdy enough to wear everyday and go with all my clothes.

Fossil Dragonfly Charm - This goes hand in hand with the bracelet mentioned above, it's so cute!

Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover - I've heard many good things about this and with my Clinique Take The Day Off Remover coming to an end, I quite fancy trying this out.

Fantasy Friday #2

Friday, 3 May 2013

I think Fantasy Friday will be more of a "when-I-have-enough-items-to-make-a-list" kind of post as last week I neglected to post... whoops. And I don't want to want too many things... right?
This week I'm fancying quite a few more beauty related products than fashion, but I had to get a couple of clothes items in there.

Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanner - Now that it's finally getting warmer and the little one is due in less than a month, I'm planning out being able to wear nicer outfits that don't involve maternity leggings. This means that in order to look suitable in public, I need to give myself a bit of a glow and get my tan on. I struggled last year with finding a tan that was suitable for face and body so usually resorted to whacking on a load of bronzer and hoping for the best. This product looks like it could end all my troubles and give me a glowing face to match the rest of my body.

Butterfly Wrap Dress - I've been eyeing up a ton of summer dresses and this is just the first of one of many. I love the butterfly print and the cut of the dress is a little different to the style I usually go for, it's just so pretty!

Topshop Lipstick - I say "Topshop Lipstick" as I've yet to decide on a shade, I just know I want to try one. I'm feeling orange shades but there are quite a few of those in the range so I'll have to see where that goes...

St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan - I had one of these last year that managed to last me throughout the whole summer but it's coming to an end now and I LOVE it. I'm a bit scared to go for a full on tan so I like to build it up gradually and I find that this goes on streak free and gives me the most perfect natural looking tan.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - I've been applying my foundation with my fingers for quite a while now after finding the Stippling Brush from the range wasn't quite doing it for me. I've heard great things about this one though so I really want to pick it up. I have a few Real Techniques brushes and they're all brilliant quality and reasonably priced.

Denim Jacket - I'm not sure which one I want to get yet, I've had my eye on a few and I'll need to hunt them down in store and try them on when I'm bump free, but I think that denim jackets look so cute with summer dresses and are perfect for our changeable British weather.

Mavala Eye-Lite Double Lash - My eyelashes are a major source of annoyance for me, one eye has long but sparse lashes and the other thick but short. This seems like the perfect item to sort them out. I've been having a look at lash treatments for a while but this one is reasonably priced with good reviews - too good to be true? I'll have to find out.

MAC - All That Glitters - I still have three spare slots in my Quad and they are calling out to be filled! The first one that I want to grab is All That Glitters, it's such a gorgeous colour and perfect for everyday wear.

Do you want any of these products? What's on your wishlist at the moment?

Fantasy Friday #1

Friday, 19 April 2013

I thought I'd start a mini weekly series called "Fantasy Friday" - basically a wishlist/outfit that I'm liking each week. We'll see where this goes, but for this week I've gone for a Spring navy theme!

1. Jeans - I've never owned a pair of white jeans but I think they can really brighten up your outfit whilst keeping it casual. These are cropped just by the ankle, so perfect for any warmer weather.

2. Top - You can't see it to clearly on the picture, but it has some lovely lace detailing around the neck and the pattern is so pretty. It's a dark top without being unsuitable for the weather as it has so many bright colours on it.

3. Blazer - I've got a beige blazer that I love so I wanted a darker one to go with different outfits. This one fits the bill and goes perfectly with the rest of the items I've picked out.

4. Bag - This cute little bag is perfect for a small trip out for all of your essentials, it also has white detailing around the edges so ties in nicely with the top and the jeans.

5. Wedges - This list would not be complete without a pair of wedges and these ones are perfect, I love them! They also do them in different colours, but for this outfit they are the perfect navy and just add the finishing touch.

What items are currently on your wishlist? Do you like any of these items?
