This was the second Rimmel lipstick I picked up on my mini Superdrug haul a couple of weeks ago. I've been wanting to try out a brighter pink lip for a while now and after scouring swatches online for what seemed like - and probably was - hours, I finally decided Pink Blush looked like a good one to try.
Just like Shade 16, Pink Blush applies smoothly to your lips and feels moisturising upon application. Initially, I was unsure of what to think of the colour on me. I do think in the bullet and swatched on my arm it looks like a different colour to how it appears on my lips. I thought it looked a little more bubblegum and a tad 80's than I was expecting rather than the rosy pink it looks like in swatches. It does depend on what coverage you go for though, I found that going for a medium coverage gave me more of the look I wanted rather than layering it on.
It's been hailed as a dupe for MAC's Viva Glam Gaga and as I don't own this lipstick I can't give a direct comparison, but if that's something you fancy, it might be worth checking out.
I find the wear time on this is similar to pretty much all my lipsticks - 2/3 hours and fades after eating and drinking. It doesn't have much of a scent and nothing that lingers on your lips. I don't find it drying although if your lips are a bit flaky, it will cling to those patches, but what lipstick doesn't?
I think this lipstick looks lovely paired with my new Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender and despite being initially unsure of the shade on me, I've grown to love it and I enjoy popping it on in the mornings to brighten my face and I'm looking forward to experimenting with more Autumnal colours.
