I didn't really have an under-eye concealer that I was happy with so I decided to try the L'Oreal Lumi Magique concealer pen in shade Light. They only do Light & Medium which isn't great, I'd probably benefit from an ultra light shade but I really love the smooth consistency of the concealer, it doesn't crease or dry out my under-eye area and as I get more tanned during the summer months I think it will look more brightening.
The last thing I got from Boots was one of the Revlon Lacquer Balms in the shade Demure. When I swatched it in store, it looked like the perfect peachy nude however when I got home and tried it on I realised it has quite a lot of glitter in it which is not something I'm a huge fan of. I've been pairing it with Creme D'Nude and it does make a pretty nude lip but not one that you can throw in your bag and apply on the go.
I've been suffering from one of the worst breakouts recently and I really don't know what's caused it. To be honest, I've never really had much of a skincare routine going on, just removing my makeup in the evening with a Micellar Water so perhaps my skin's finally had enough and needs something more?
Anyway, I decided to try out a couple of items and after hearing rave reviews a while ago about nspa, I decided to try out their Hot Cloth Polish. It was on "reduced to clear" for £5 and their Ultimate Cleansing Tonic was reduced to £1 so I picked up both to try out. I've only used them once but I found the tonic did a great job of removing all of my makeup including mascara without leaving any stingy eyes or residue. The Hot Cloth Polish was lovely, I've never used one before and I really enjoyed it, it left my skin feeling thoroughly clean but not dried out. I'll report back in a few weeks to say how I've found them after giving them a longer run but fingers crossed they will help clear my skin!
I also picked up a new shower gel in Peach and a Mango Body Mist from nspa and they both smell gorgeous. The shower gel lathers up nicely and the body mist actually lasts a long time on the skin, perfect scents for Summer!
Last of all, I picked up a new moisturiser from Superdrug from their B. Range called B.Ready aimed at 20's-30's skin. I decided to grab it as it was 1/2 price for £4.99 and I can never resist a good offer! I have only used it once so again I can't really comment on how it performs long-term but first impressions are that it's lightweight and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, so it's a thumbs up so far.
What have you been buying recently? Have you tried any of these products?

I am really loving it so far, feels so nice on the skin x
DeleteI'm a massive fan of everything you got! The nspa products are great, I've used their Hot Cloth Polish before and loved it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame that the shade of the Lacquer Balm wasn't what you were expecting, I have one of the brighter pinks and would definitely recommend it.

Yeah I thought to get the Lumi Magique because I spotted it on your blog! I look forward to being a bit more tanned and seeing it have a more noticeable highlight but I still love it. I have been impressed by the nspa products so far, wish I'd tried them sooner! I always end up picking the wrong shade lipstick haha xx
