MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme d'Nude

I've got a few eye shadows and a couple of face products from MAC but I had never tried one of their lipsticks before. I think it's because I'm not a huge lip product lover, I prefer to make up my eyes rather than rock a bold lip. I've browsed the MAC site countless times looking at swatches and even adding lipsticks to my basket but then changing my mind worrying that the shade won't suit me.

That all changed the other day when I walked past Selfridges and decided that it was time to check out the shades in person and make a selection. I was looking for a subtle lip colour, something that I could wear every day that would go with simple make up or something a little more dramatic.
I tried out quite a few and in the end it came down to either Shy Girl or Creme d'Nude. I picked the latter and have been really pleased with my choice.

Creme d'Nude is obviously a nude shade but it is more on the peach side than pink which is what swayed me towards it as I feel peach suits my skintone better. It's the Cremesheen formula which is an absolute dream to apply, it feels very like the Revlon Lip Butters which I'm a fan of. I did worry that with it being quite a light shade that the it would settle into lines on my lips when they're dry but that hasn't been a problem. The bullet has a vanilla scent but I didn't really notice this transfer onto my lips although I wish it did as it smells so nice!

I'd say that without eating or drinking it lasts for about 2-3 hours on my lips which is what I expected due to the formula but I'm more than happy to apply it throughout the day.
Overall, I'm really pleased with my choice and I can't wait to pick up another shade, I'm thinking Shy Girl...
