I can't believe it's now May! It really feels like only a few weeks ago I was popping open the Bucks Fizz on Christmas morning... Now it's time for the warmer months (hopefully) and I've been enjoying adding a little more colour to my face. The perfect product for this has been Soap & Glory's Solar Powder.
I've used this nearly every single day since I got it and it adds the perfect amount of warmth to my face without looking orange. I like to use both the matte and shimmery side for an all over glow but I sometimes use just the matte side if I want to add more of a contour and then add the shimmer to the high points of my face. For only £11, it's a steal.
If there's one product I can never have too many of, it's mascara. I finally decided to try Bourjois' Volume 1 Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black and if you are looking for some serious volume, then look no further. This is without doubt the most volumising mascara I have ever tried and it holds well throughout the day with no smudging or flaking. Love. It's definitely worked it's way into my top 3 mascaras and if I want a smokey or evening look then this is the one.
Finally, I've been on the fence about Anastasia's Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown. I found it more difficult to work with than I'd imagined at first and it seemed to develop a hard skin on the top leaving it hard to get product out that wasn't clumpy, so it got left in my makeup drawer for a few weeks. I tried to blend it out again with my fingers and the uneven bits came right off and left me with lovely smooth product that is now working a dream and giving me natural, full looking brows that last all day. Less is definitely more with this one and I have finally mastered the art of applying it so that it doesn't look OTT.
So, that's it for my April favourites, what have yours been?
I adore solar power!
