I thought I'd kick start my foray back into blogging with a mention of my favourite under eye concealers at the moment. Getting used to early starts every day (for some reason Oscar has lie ins, so getting up at 7 is a novelty...) has left me having a major need to conceal my dark circles.
I've found that my current favourite combo is to first of all apply Soap & Glory's Kick Ass Concealer in Light to counteract the purple tones under my eyes and then apply Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer in shade 15 to brighten everything up. I then set it with some setting powder with my Real Techniques Setting Brush and I'm good to go.
I first tried the Kick Ass Concealer a couple of years ago but wasn't all that impressed but I ended up getting it on a S&G 3 for 2 offer and I've been loving it this time around. It's creamy and doesn't settle into fine lines and lasts well on me all day. It does a great job of concealing the dark circles and it's easy to layer up as much as you like.
I thought I'd give Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer a go when I spotted it for only £3.99 and I'm really glad I did. It has a light, creamy consistency that doesn't drag under the eyes and it brightens up my face making me look like I've had far more sleep than I've actually had.
Finally, I use the Real Techniques Setting Brush to blend both my concealers in and I then use it for setting powder on top so that I don't get any smudging or patchy looking under eyes during the day.
