The Perfect Nude Combo

Tuesday, 27 May 2014

I have tried to make bold lips work for me, but it's just not happening. I originally bought Creme D'Nude with a subtle look in mind but found that it's slightly too nude to work for everyday wear, it definitely looks better with a good smokey eye.
I'd been eyeing up Pure Zen for ages after seeing so many good reviews and so when pay day came around and Debenham's had 10% off Beauty, I decided it was fate and popped it into my basket.
I'm always wary buying makeup online, especially lipsticks as they can look so different on everyone who wears them depending on skintone/lip colour. I have to say though that Pure Zen is everything I had hoped for, it's a beautiful, peachy nude that isn't too nude and just adds a subtle hint of colour for everyday wear without washing me out.
It applies fairly well on bare lips but I prefer to prep my lips with a balm before hand as I do find it goes on smoother that way. Finally, the finishing touch is a slick of Benefit's Dandelion Lipgloss to add an extra hint of shine and I'm good to go. I really love the Dandelion gloss, I think it's actually my favourite gloss that I own. It's not sticky at all and it's really comfortable on the lips with the perfect hint of peach.

What's your favourite everyday lip combo?

    1. I think it's actually my favourite lipgloss! It's not sticky at all and feels so nice on. I don't normally like Benefit but I'd be tempted to buy this full size when this mini runs out xx
